Sleeper quarterback emerging

There is a player in the beautiful state of Utah who has been flying under the recruiting radar screen outside of the schools that actively recruit the state. Local colleges wanted to keep mum on who many call the state’s best quarterback, but the word is getting out on the fine quarterback who plays for Sandy (Utah) Alta.
The signal-caller in question is Kyle Bowen (6-4, 190, 4.8). Two Utah Ute coaches were in the audience for Bowen’s last game and they were overheard saying that Bowen is the best quarterback in the state.

Taking a closer look there is a good argument for Bowen being the number one quarterback in the state. He has the size you like in a drop back quarterback and he has a strong arm, too. Bowen is very elusive and nifty with his feet in the pocket.
Like all quarterbacks have to be if they are going to be successful, Bowen is a very intelligent young man who carries a perfect 4.0 GPA that includes a curriculum that includes honors courses, AP classes and calculus.
Bowen also has outstanding leadership qualities as he is one of the primary reasons that Alta high currently stands 8-0 for the first time in the school’s 26-year history.
Alta has already locked up the number one seed for the 5A state tournament and there is another week of regular season play.
Bowen has hit 82 passes out of 128 for 1,476 yards and 13 touchdowns against only three interceptions. He is hitting on 64.1% of his passes for his senior season.
Bowen is very efficient with the passing game. Though he plays for a team that runs the ball 70% of the time, the passing game accounts for 44% of Alta’s total offense.
Boise State, Arizona, Northwestern, BYU and Utah were first to know about him, but that was before the cat got out of the bag.
