Sleeper QB off to a great start

Most of the time when a recruitnek thinks of Fresno (Calif.) Edison they think of defensive backs. While that is the case again for the class of 2008 with Robert Golden and Brandon Leslie being very highly recruited keeping with the Edison tradition, but keep your eye on Edison quarterback Jerry Davis (6-1, 190, 4.7).
Davis has led Edison to a 3-0 record and lead his team this Friday Evening in a titanic matchup against area rival Clovis (Calif.) West led by Cal commit Beau Sweeney.

In three games, Davis has passed for 377 yards and 10 touchdowns against one interception. He has hit on 65 percent of his passes, plus he's added one touchdown on the ground.
Though Davis doesn't have an offer on the table yet, San Diego State called on September 1st and the Aztecs with Fresno State and Oregon are recruiting him the hardest.
Nebraska, Kansas State, Arizona State, Washington and Ole Miss are also showing Davis some recruiting interest.
"I don't know why I haven't received an offer yet," Davis said. "I'm probably being overlooked, but I don't worry much about that.
"I'm just staying humble and trying to help my team win a championship," Davis said. "Hopefully if we when the championship everything will work itself out on its own.
"I want to attend a school with a good tradition and will help me prepare for the next level," Davis said. "I also want to attend a school that is looking for the help I can provide."
