Sleeper QB looks for offer

Will Saffen is a Florida quarterback prospect that currently is under the radar, but who could end up being a nice pick-up for a program.
Saffen, who missed his junior year with a torn ACL, has a good arm and good athleticism and comes from a strong high school program at Daytona Beach Seabreeze. He had a solid showing at the Miami NIKE Camp in April and at the D-1 Quarterback camp this summer.

"I haven't gotten any offers," he said. "I really wasn't expecting it considering I didn't play my junior year."
Currently, he is getting looks from a couple of Division I-A programs.
"I went down to the D-I camp mostly because of Florida Atlantic," Saffen said. "They have shown a lot of interest and I have been in touch with coach David Serna a lot.
"Florida International has also shown a lot of interest. I have called and talked with coach Hurlie Brown a lot."
Next week, Saffen plans to make the trip down I-95 to check out both of these schools.
"We are going to see FIU and FAU," he said.
Saffen said that Central Florida and South Florida have also shown some interest. He plans to head to Orlando and Tampa the following week to get a look at the Golden Knights and Bulls and will head up to Louisville at some point, too.
"I just want to get a scholarship," he said.
That process may have gotten a jump start if someone happened to see his performance in his team's spring scrimmage. The 6-foot, 188-pounder went 5-of-6 for 99 yards and two touchdowns passing and added another rushing touchdowns in only one half of football.
"We just came out and played well," he said.
Saffen plays on the same high school team as Rivals250 cornerback James Scott.
