Sleeper QB gets noticed

Sleeper quarterback KC Patterson (6-3, 200, 4.9) from Roseville (Calif.) Oakmont will take over the reins for his upcoming senior season. The northern California took about 40% of the snaps a year ago for a predominantly running team.
Another reason for Patterson’s sleeper status is he will be playing for his third coach in three years. That means Patterson will be learning his third offense in three years.

Good thing that Patterson is an intelligent young man with a 3.6 GPA and 1220 SAT score.
Patterson has an outstanding work ethic and has worked on his quarterbacking skills with Northern California private quarterback guru Roger Theder and southern California quarterback coach Bob Johnson.
Theder has had a long history coaching and helping develop quarterbacks going back to his days with former Cal Bear greats Steve Bartkowski and Joe Roth to Kyle Wright of Miami, Sam Keller of ASU and T.J. Ostrander of Stanford.
Under Theder’s tutelage Patterson is currently working with a solid group of northern California quarterbacks in Willie Tuitama from Stockton (Calif.) Saint Mary’s, Kyle Reed from Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds and Kevin Lopina from Concord (Calif.) De La Salle.
Though Patterson didn’t a lot of opportunities to throw in 2003, he is still getting plenty of recruiting attention.
Patterson has received a handwritten letter from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and he has a lot of interest in Notre Dame.
Arizona, Oregon, Brigham Young, Colorado, Michigan, and San Jose State have also shown Patterson some recruiting action.
