Sleeper picking up interest

Sleeper tackle Brian Ybarra (6-4, 284, 5.19) from West Covina, Calif., was just selected all-league for his junior season performance. Ybarra first caught the attention of Rivals.com when he more than held his own against three-star performer TE/DE Charles Brown (6-6, 249, 5.12) from Pomona (Calif.) Diamond Ranch.
Ybarra is getting a lot of interest from Idaho State and Nevada is calling almost every weekend.

Wyoming was very interested but the Cowboys filled their spots at Ybarra's position.
Boise State came by West Covina high school to meet with Ybarra before the Christmas break.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com West Covina coach Mike Maggiore said, "Brian plays tackle for us, but he could end up as a center. He's just beginning to come into his own."
"Brian is just beginning to focus on football and you can see the results of his dedication," Maggiore said. "He sees his future in football. Brian could end up being the steal of the year."
Ybarra has only been lifting seriously for a year because he played baseball and golf in the off-season. Still he is already benching 285 pounds and squats 385.
