Sleeper OL commits to Eagles

With offers from Auburn, NC State, Pitt and Ole Miss, one wouldn't think that offensive tackle Carlos Huggins would be a sleeper. However, the Parkland (Fla.) Douglas doesn't care whether he's considered a sleeper or star, he knows he's an Eagle.
"I committed this morning," said the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder. "I had a blast at BC on my official visit and I love the education aspect of things. I plan on majoring in Socialogy or Psychology."

Huggins, who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds, has another tie to the Boston area.
"My sister goes to Boston University," he said. "She's Pre-Med so she'll be there for awhile. It will be good to have someone I know up there."
Huggins was hosted on his visit by offensive lineman Josh Beekman. He will play offensive tackle at BC. One thing that didn't factor into his decision was BC's move to the ACC.
"I am interested in the school and not the conference," he said. "It's a great place to get an education and play football. Playing against top competition is just a bonus."
