Sleeper needs a chance

When you are a sleeper cornerback who plays for arguably one of the best high schools in the country in Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian a team that has nine other players with D-I offers like Brad Freeman (5-10, 170, 4.55) does, it easy to kind be the odd man out when it comes to getting ink.
Freeman's performance hasn't been lost to his coach Bill Reddell.

"Brad has had an excellent senior season, actually he's had a great career for us," Redell said. "He has started for us for three and a half years.
"Brad is always the one the opposition likes to challenge and he's always up to it. His coverage is so good that our opposition ends up throwing to the other side where an athlete (Anthony Gildon) who is going to Oregon plays and he has picked off eight passes."
"Brad hasn't given up many receptions this year and he's batted quite a few down," Reddell said. "He's really good in coverage and he will come up and hit in run support.
"Someone is going to get a really good player in Brad," Reddell said. "He only needs the chance."
"Brad is a really smart football player who doesn't make mistakes," Reddell said. "He can also help a D-I school on special teams. He's been our Special Teams Player of the Year for the last two seasons.
"I think Brad could be a D-I player at some schools."
Freeman has racked up 22 tackles, several batted passes and one sack.
As a junior, Freeman was a second-team all-CIF and all-league selection after accounting for 63 tackles and two picks.
On the recruiting front, Freeman is getting looks from Appalachian State, UC-Davis, USD, Idaho, Duke, Vandy, SMU, and San Diego State.
