Sleeper making name

There is an old football adage about the best pass defense, is a great pass rush. Not only is it hard to throw a football when sprawled out on the field after getting pasted by a defense of lineman, but it keeps a quarterback out of rhythm. That is why D-I colleges are in constant vigilance looking for a guy who brings the heat.
One player who is really coming on his senior season is defensive end, Benson Mayowa (6-3, 210, 4.7) from Inglewood, Calif.

In four games this season, Mayowa has already has nine sacks and is second on the team in tackles.
"Benson has a great motor," Inglewood assistant in charge of recruiting Khalid Ali said. "He plays hard every down."
"You would think that as a defensive end he wouldn't get a lot of tackles because once he was discovered teams would run away from him and they have," Ali said. "But a lot of Benson's tackles are because he chases down the ball carrier."
"When D-I coaches come on campus they are impressed with how Benson looks," Ali said. "He has long arms, long legs and covers a lot of ground.
"Benson has that great frame that colleges love," Ali said. "He will be able to add weight to his frame without losing any quickness or speed."
"Another thing where Benson has shown a lot of improvement is, he has really matured as a human being over the course of junior to senior season," Ali said. "He has turned into one of our team leaders, who our team looks up to."
"Word is just getting out about Benson," Ali said. "I think he's going to get very busy handling calls from colleges."
Fresno State, Mew Mexico and Oregon State are schools that are already showing interest in Mayowa and are ahead on the recruiting curve.
