Sleeper makes verbal

Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan two-way standout Landford Mark (6-1, 197, 4.5) recently made his college. Some schools were looking at him as a defensive back but the school he chose recruited him as a running back.
"Landford committed to Nevada on his visit," Buchanan coach Mike Vogt said. "He's a good fit for their offense. He is a no fooling around down hill runner.
San Diego State, Utah, and Utah State were also showing some interest in him as a running back.
Nevada gets a player who is also a good receiver out of the backfield as he caught 17 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns. He gained 966 yards on the ground and scored nine rushing touchdowns.
"Landford is getting bigger and faster," Vogt said. "He's a legit 4.5.
