Sleeper lineman likes the Dawgs

It appears that the class of 2007 will have quality depth with regards to offensive linemen in the state of Georgia and Metter High offensive lineman Jared Flowers likely will add to that.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder plays high school football in Southeastern Georgia and may have not appeared on the radar of many recruiters yet as he is waiting on his first scholarship offer. But several coaches in the Metter area say that Flowers has the tools to be a Division I-A offensive lineman.

So far, the attention Flowers has received has strictly been by way of mail.
"I've gotten some regular letters from Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas and Stanford," Flowers said.
Flowers has a couple of thoughts about what he is looking for in a program.
"I am looking for a good academic program," he said. "Then I am looking at the program and how it's been during the past 10 years."
There is one school that Flowers potentially would jump at an offer from. He's a lifelong fan of the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.
"I love the Bulldogs," he said. "I've been a Bulldog fan all of my life. There is nothing better than being a Bulldog fan."
Georgia's victory against LSU in the SEC Championship Game this past season was a highlight for Flowers.
"They won the SEC Championship," he said.
Flowers plans to make an unofficial visit to Georgia on March 25.
On March 11, Flowers attended the Rivals.com Junior Day at Lovejoy High in suburban Atlanta.
"I learned about the recruiting process and how to ask questions to the coaches," he said.
