Sleeper LB picks up steam

When a player attends three different high schools it isn't very surprising when that athlete gets lost in the recruiting shuffle. That is what happened to linebacker Millage Peaks (6-2, 215, 4.63) from Culver City, Calif.
Peaks led Culver City in tackles with 125 and because Culver City has sent out senior game footage, D-I colleges have begun to take notice.

Kentucky, Kansas, Washington State, Indiana, Ohio, Central Michigan, UConn and Boise State are already showing interest in Peaks.
"Kentucky will be coming by the school to meet Millage," Culver City quarterback coach Greg Goodyear said. "They loved him on tape."
"Numerous coaches have told me that Millage has everything they are looking for in a linebacker," Goodyear said. "We just sent out tapes to 20 schools last week and of the nine schools that I know have looked at the tape have liked him. They tell me he can play."
"We lost Mark Johnson to Dorsey and Millage stepped in and filled his spot nicely," Goodyear said. "I could only imagine how good we would have been if we had them both."
"Millage has a great nose for the football," Goodyear said. "He has good speed, he's athletic and loves to hit."
"Millage runs very well," Goodyear said. "His speed makes him very good in pass coverage."
"The speed he has is natural," Goodyear said. "As fast as Millage is he wants to get faster, that's why he's going to run track this spring."
