Sleeper lands offer, sets trips

While everybody is well acquainted with Corona, Calif., high school's two four-star prospects running back, Jordon James and defensive back Demetrius Wright, but there is another prospect from Corona who is beginning to join the party in sleeper defensive end, Chidera Uzo-Diribe (6-4, 225, 4.75).
Uzo-Diribe is mostly being recruited as a defensive end, but he may also log some time at outside linebacker in 2009.

The reason why Uzo-Diribe is a sleeper is because he was playing basketball as a junior, but now he knows that football is his ticket for his future.
Even though, Uzo-Diribe didn't play a down of football as a junior, he still has racked up an offer from Colorado after a standout performance at Colorado's full contact camp.
The thing the Buffaloes liked about Uzo-Diribe was his quickness off the edged and his ability to put heat on the passer. He also displayed an outstanding nose for the football at the CU camp.
"I felt good getting an offer from Colorado," Uzo-Diribe said. "It was the goal that I wanted to accomplish at the camp.
"I didn't commit because I wanted to weigh all of my options," Uzo-Diribe said. "A lot of the teams recruiting me are waiting to see how I do this fall."
Colleges that are waiting to see some senior game footage are Arizona, UCLA, Nebraska, Colorado State, Nevada and UTEP.
Uzo-Diribe has already begun to set up official trips.
"I'm going to take an official visit to Colorado on October 30th," Uzo-Diribe said. "I have also set official visits to Arizona and UCLA.
"I will visit Arizona with my teammate Jordon James on November 6th," Uzo-Diribe said. "I think my visit to UCLA is on November 21st."
Why UCLA and Arizona?
"I have good chemistry with (defensive line) Coach Todd Howard, who is recruiting me for UCLA," Uzo-Diribe said. "When I went to their practice, I really liked what is going on there."
"For Arizona, I really like Coach Tim Kish, he's a good guy," Uzo-Diribe said. "I like the whole feeling down in Arizona. It's a good school, had good fans and is in a good city."
"I'm planning on making my mind up in late December or early January."
What is Uzo-Diribe looking for in a college?
"The school has to have good academics," Uzo-Diribe said. "Then be in a good city with good people."
