Sleeper lands offer

Gardena (Calif.) Serra has three very special prospects for the class of 2007 and one sleeper who has the potential to be as highly rated as his highly publicized teammates, all them are four-stars. They are DaJohn Harris, Anthony Boyles and Apaiata Tuihalamaka. Who is this player who could the terrific three?
The player is safety Duke Ihenacho (6-0, 190, 4.5).

The reason there is so much optimism that Ihenacho is destined for the big time is he has only played the game of football for one year and he parlayed his first-year performance into earning all-CIF and all-league honors.
Ihenacho racked up 55 tackles and had three picks for his maiden season on the gridiron.
If Ihenacho continues to improve as he has in the off-season, his stock could go off the charts this fall.
Ihenacho has the versatility to play anywhere in the defensive backfield but his first look will be as a safety.
"Duke is a great hitter and a smart player, too," teammate and four-star defensive tackle DaJohn Harris said. "He's our defensive captain and knows where everybody is supposed to be on every play. Like I said Duke is very bright."
It seems like colleges are catching on to what Harris knows.
Ihenacho already has one offer on the table from New Mexico State. Coaches from UNLV, San Diego State, Boise State, Fresno State, San Jose State, UC-Davis and Cal came by this past spring inquiring about the sleeper from Serra.
What is Ihenacho looking for a college?
"I would like to play at a school that is in a big city and of course get a good education," Ihenacho said. "I'm also looking for a school that has a good environment and an overall good college experience."
"I'm going to work my butt off to get noticed this fall by UCLA and Cal," Ihenacho said. "Those two schools are my favorites. My other favorite schools are Fresno State and San Diego State.
"I would like to play on the West Coast but I will consider any school."
Ihenacho is definitely one to watch this fall.
