Sleeper has speed to follow tradition

There is a sleeper who was invited to participate at FBU Camp this past weekend held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The sleeper's name is Jorrian Washington (5-7, 160, 4.4) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey and he looks to be the next in a long line of great running backs that have played for Dorsey.
Washington was all set to replace Johnathan Franklin who took his considerable talents to UCLA, but like Franklin before him, Washington was injured in the first game of his junior season and missed the season with a broken collar bone.

Now all the way healthy the talented Washington is hoping that he another in a long line of backs to get a D-I scholie.
Dorsey defensive back Carver Russaw sure feels that Washington has the right stuff that will see him earn a scholarship.
"Jorrian is lighting fast and very elusive," Russaw said. "But yet, he run inside the tackle as well as he can to the outside. We are planning on him to return punts and kicks as well. We are going to get Jorrian the ball."
What is Washington looking for in a college?
"Academic prestige is first and foremost," Washington said. "Then a good college community.
"Football wise, I would also like a good coaching staff that does a good job developing their players."
Washington also runs track for Dorsey and will represent the Dons in an international track meet this summer in Hawai'i and Australia.
Washington has received recruiting letters in track from Oregon.
If tradition holds serve, look for Washington to be the talk of the L.A. City Section this fall as he tries to follow in the footsteps of Jeremiah Johnson (Oregon), Stafon Johnson (USC) and Johnathan Franklin (UCLA) as Dorsey running backs who parlayed their high school talents into a college opportunity.
