Sleeper has definite favorite

Wide receiver Isaiah Burel (6-3, 180, 4.53) from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley was one of the best kept secrets in the class of 2006. He was scheduled to take a visit to Utah this past weekend but the visit was postponed.
"I was going to visit Utah," Burel said. "But it has been postponed until January."

"My next visit is to Colorado State for a mid-week on December 14th," Burel said. "If I like Colorado State, I will probably commit."
"I have received a lot of positive feedback about the school and my father goes to the state a lot and he loves it," Burel said. "If I commit that will be it and I will cancel all other visits."
So far this season, Burel has hauled in 50 receptions for 891 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is also helping East Valley on special teams. He has returned seven punts for 74 yards with an average of 10.7 per punt return. He has returned 14 kickoffs for 367 yards with an average of 26.2 yards per kick. His long kick return was for 91 yards and a touchdown.
On defense getting spot duty, Burel has 13 tackles and three interceptions.
In an earlier interview with East Valley Coach Kurt Bruich was very complementary about his sleeper wide receiver.
"The best thing that Isaiah does is run great routes," Bruich said. "Teams try to double him, but they can't. He's mastered the double move."
"Isaiah is fearless as a receiver," Bruich said. "He will catch the ball in traffic."
"Isaiah has excellent hands," Bruich said. "He's also an outstanding runner after he makes the catch."
