Sleeper Georgia LB makes pick

Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison linebacker John Abbate is one of the most under-ranked players in the Southeast. But he's also going to be one of the biggest steals of the recruiting season.
Overlooked because of teammates Tim Cesa, Jason Evans and Paul Oliver, Abbate has committed to Wake Forest with very little fanfare.

Abbate, who is 5-foot-10 and 240 pounds, picked the Demon Deacons when they offered and other teams backed away because of his height.
"He's the best linebacker in the state," one college coach said.
Abbate has a 4.5-second time in the 40-yard dash, is the leading tackler in the state of Georgia and can bench press more than 400 pounds.
Oh yeah, he ran a 11.0 100 meter time. Abbate is ranked as a three-star prospect.
