Sleeper from Jersey emerging

The high school football talent in the state of New Jersey is so good that sometimes even santdout players get overlooked. One such standout is defensive back/wide receiver Eric Young Jr. of Piscataway, N.J..
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound speedster was one of the reasons why Piscataway won the Central Jersey Group 4 state championship and finished the season with a 12-0 record.

Eric has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.4 seconds and has a vertical jump of 32 inches. This past season he had 32 catches for 512 yards and seven touchdowns. As a cornerback he registered 38 tackles and had four interceptions, returning one of them for a score.
"The recruiting has started to pick up for me recently. I'm going to Boston College on Jan. 24 and Villanova is set for Jan. 10. Iowa has also been in contact about setting a date for a visit and that might be on Jan. 10 as well so we'll see."
He might not be a typical blue-chip recruit with 25 offers, this is a typical Jersey athlete with the skills to play at the D-1 level. Offers from BC, Iowa and others should be coming soon.
