Sleeper DT has offers

Oxnard, Calif., defensive tackle Steven Jackson (6-3, 295, 5.01) really emerged after a strong senior season. He was selected 1st-team all-CIF, all-county, all-league and all-academic for his efforts in 2002.
Jackson battled through double teams to account for 124 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, two fumbles caused and one fumble recovery as a senior.

Colorado State and Utah are impressed enough with Jackson’s ability to have tendered offers. Washington is also showing some interest.
Jackson has already tripped Colorado State on December 18th and had a great time. He almost committed on the trip. “The only reason why I didn’t commit on my trip was I wanted to talk it over with my family,” Jackson said. “I am leaning heavily toward Colorado State.”
Jackson has another trip scheduled to Utah either January 10th or 17th if he doesn’t commit to Colorado State in the meantime.
The scouting report on Jackson is he has great character on and off the field. He has a lot of energy and has a motor that doesn’t quit. He is a quality young man who is very coachable.
