Sleeper DE picks up new offers

With all the talk about the defensive line at Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge, Miami's soft verbal commit Chris Perry and top junior R.J. Washington are names that come to mind. However, defensive end/tackle Lawrence Rumph is enjoying a big senior year and has offers coming in quickly.
The talented Rumph, being recruited as a defensive end, says that he's received two written offers thus far and two more schools have verbally offered. It appears that the secret is out about the 6-foot-2, 256-pounder and his recruiting process isn't a secret anymore.

"Missouri and UTEP are my two written offers," Rumph said. "Then Central Florida and TCU have both verbally offered. They're all pretty even right now to me."
Rumph says he's pretty fast for his size and "really physical." In the end, it's all about getting to the ball carrier or quarterback.
"I just make a lot of plays," Rumph said. "That's really the best way to describe how I play."
While there are no leading schools on his list, he is thinking about official visits.
"I'm probably going to visit Missouri, Central Florida, and UTEP," Rumph said. "They're the only ones away from my house. TCU is really close and I already visited them unofficial for the Texas Tech game. I know what they have to offer."
Rumph said he'd like to make a decision by the end of the year. Right now, his season is the focus.
"I've got three sacks so far and around 15 tackles," he said. "I'm doing pretty well. Last year I think I had around five sacks and 50 tackles or so."
