Sleeper awakes colleges

San Diego County in Southern California is one of the most underrated football talent spots in the nation by the media but it’s no secret to D-I schools or NFL for that matter.
One of the fastest rising prospects in SoCal is Isaiah Crawford (5-11, 190, 4.5) from Vista, Calif.

Crawford has already visited Colorado on November 15 and was able to take in the Iowa State game. He liked CU a lot, but the Buffs did not offer. The Buff brass told him they like him and to be patient.
Crawford was scheduled to visit Cal last week but had to cancel his visit because he was busy that day playing in the CIF Championship game. He is going to reschedule Cal for sometime in January.
Colorado State has offered Crawford and he will visit the Fort Collins campus on January 17th. Incidentally CSU does a great job recruiting San Diego.
Crawford played a lot of running back as a senior rushing for 694 yards and 10 touchdowns. He projects on the defensive side of the ball on the D-I level.
Crawford played outside linebacker for Vista but he projects as a hard hitting strong safety. Prior to the championship game, Crawford accounted for 93 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and four sacks.
“Isaiah is aggressive and a very determined young man,” Vista head coach Greg Hauser said. “He makes plays.”
