Kentucky has picked up a verbal commitment from a
rising in-state prospect out of Northern Kentucky.

Covington Holmes athlete
Brandent Englemon gave his verbal to the Cats after
receiving confirmation of a scholarship offer last week.
Englemon (6-0, 180, 4.5) plays quarterback for
Holmes, but projects as an outside safety in UK's 4-2-5 defensive scheme. He
has accounted for almost 2,100 yards in total offense as a senior after
passing for 1,359 and rushing for 735 as a junior.
He is also a three-sport star
(football-basketball-baseball) and maintains a 4.0 GPA while participating
in the Governor's Scholar program. He was recently named a Wendy's "High School Heisman" award winner for his region.
Michigan, Northwestern, Louisville, Miami (Ohio), Cincinnati, Marshall, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and a number of other programs had begun heavily recruiting Englemon in recent weeks, according to a member of the Holmes staff.
