Plymouth (Pa.) Wyoming Valley athlete Ali Muhammed took an official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder made his way up to Syracuse for a trip.
"I had a great time, it was an awesome trip," he said. "They have a nice campus and great people.

"I just hung out with the players. I was hosted by Chad Battles. I met everyone, football players and basketball players. It was a great experience.
"I liked Chad a lot too. He's a great guy and he toured me around the campus and showed me a lot of things. It was fun."
Muhammed was impressed by the visit.
"The basketball game was impressive with how many people showed up, 30,000," he said. "I'm highly interested in Syracuse."
Of course, Muhammed met with Coach Marrone before heading out.
"He's a good guy," he said. "He's young and showed a lot of excitement. I think he can turn this program around with the new coaching staff.
"He did talk about me putting weight on and playing linebacker or safety."
What's next for the Keystone State prospect?
"I think I'm going to Prairie View, Rhode Island and Old Dominion," he said. "I'm not sure when I'm taking all these visits."
Currently Muhammed holds offers from a few schools including Rhode Island, Old Dominion, Maine, Temple and Syracuse. He's also receiving interest from Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Akron.
As a senior, Muhammed posted 19.5 sacks, 28 receptions for 800-yards and 12 touchdowns.
"It was just my senior year playing football," he said. "I earned all-conference and was selected to the Pennsylvania East West game.
"I think I showed I can jump and have good hands. I go get the ball and can hit."
