Skyler still setting visits

LaGrange, Ga. running back Skyler Thornton has set up his first three official visits. And, while he won't take his first until January, he still wants to sneak in all five trips.
"I'm going to Florida on Jan. 10, Arkansas on Jan. 17 and South Carolina on Jan. 24," said the 6-foot-0, 195-pounder. "I still want to see Georgia Tech and maybe Clemson as well. I might be able to take one of them before Florida and another after South Carolina."

Thornton, who ran for 1,591 yards and 34 touchdowns this season, doesn't want to name a leader. However, recent developments have put one team on his mind.
"Two of my teammates are going to South Carolina," he said of quarterback Blake Mitchell and cornerback Adrian Griffin. "That might be an advantage because those guys are trying to get me to follow them."
Mitchell committed to the Gamecocks a few months ago while Griffin just committed this past weekend.
"That won't be the reason I pick a school though," he said. "I like different things about each school on my list and it will all come down to academics, playing time and comfort level."
