Skelton shifts his sights on two

Pro-style quarterback John Skelton of El Paso (Texas) Burgess thought that his senior year would be ending on a high note, but the 6-foot-5, 201-pound signal caller didn't make the playoffs and had a rough season.
His Burgess team had a season that Skelton characterized as one that "did not go well." However, Skelton is now putting his focus on picking a future college home.

"There aren't any offers yet, but SMU and UTEP are the main schools sending me a lot of stuff," Skelton said. "They really haven't talked much about an offer, but both schools said they want me to visit."
Skelton says that both of those schools are his current favorites and are basically even in his mind.
"One of the coaches from UTEP calls just about every week," Skelton said. "He's kept in touch but hasn't said anything about an offer yet. Whenever one of those teams offers, I might go ahead and commit right there."
"I'll just have to see what takes place."
