Chauncey Washington from South Torrance, Calif., is off the charts good. Needless to say Washington’s stock is soaring. Washington is a big powerful running back who stands 6-foot-1, weighs 210 pounds and 4.6 40-yard dash.

Washington rushed for 1,898 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior. His performance saw him rack all-area, all-league and all-CIF honors.

Washington has great size, speed, and acceleration. Once he’s in space, he’s gone. He’s a unique runner who can cut, turn, spin, break tackles and if need be, run your butt over. He’s the complete back that can also catch and block.

You will never have character problems with Washington, he’s a thoughtful, caring young man who is admired by his teammates and he returns their admiration in kind.

The impressive Mr. Washington has caught the attention of USC, Oregon State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, LSU, Miami and Boston College. All seven schools have offered Washington a scholarship. UCLA, ASU, Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Colorado and Oklahoma are thought to be very close to following by putting a scholie on the table.

Washington is very open regarding school choice in the early going and he has no favorites.

When it is all said and done, Washington’s name will be among the best running backs in the nation.
