During the course of the spring, 2013 defensive end Kenny Bigelow of Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy has been as physically impressive as any prospect. Not surprisingly the talented sophomore is already up to six offers.
"There have been a lot of coaches coming by the school," said Bigelow, who is 6-foot-3 and 280-pounds. "Rutgers, Temple, Maryland, Syracuse, Penn State, Virginia and more have stopped by."
Bigelow's most recent offers came in from Maryland and Temple, and they join his previous offers from Auburn, Rutgers, Illinois and Connecticut.
Considering he is still a sophomore, all of this early attention has been a pleasant surprise for Bigelow.
"It feels great," he said. "It's something I never expected at such a young age."
When it comes to visits, Bigelow has taken an unofficial to Rutgers earlier this year and will return to the New Jersey school with his teammates in late June to participate in their annual 7-on-7 tournament. Aside from that, he will discuss future visits with his coach.
In the meantime, Bigelow is looking to improve on a few aspects of his game.
"I'd like to improve my stamina and my technique," said Bigelow. "You can always improve on that."
