Six offers for 2013 DE

2013 defensive end Tashawn Bower of Somerville (N.J.) Immaculata is quickly positioning himself as one of the top prospects in the region next year. Bower has stayed busy this summer with several camps, and has reeled in some impressive offers because of it.
"Recruiting has been hectic," said Bower, who is 6-foot-5 and 228-pounds. "I was in Florida for the Miami camp, Florida State camp and the Florida Gators camp. After those three, I've had the Ohio State camp and that was my last camp for the year. Now I've just been calling coaches."

Bower already has offers from Florida State, Rutgers, Connecticut, Virginia and Syracuse, and late last night added his sixth from Ohio State. He mentioned that Rutgers, Florida State and Connecticut are currently showing the most interest.
At the camps he attended, Bower hoped to showcase his speed.
"I think I showed my quickness off the ball the best," said Bower. "That's one of the things I wanted to work on this year."
While Bower stayed busy during the summer, his visit schedule will likely slow down during the fall.
"I don't have any plans for more visits," said Bower. "It will be hard to go to a game because I'm not sure if we have a bye-week."
During the summer Bower has had a chance to communicate with a number of coaches. He was asked if any of the coaches have left an impression to this point.
"I mean all of the coaches I've met with seem really cool," said Bower. "Coach Coley from Florida State was really cool."
Finally, Bower discussed his preparation for his upcoming junior season.
"It's going real well," said Bower. "I'm lifting and conditioning everyday. I've gotten into real good shape."
