Six at the top for Colorado CB

Denver (Colo.) Mullen cornerback Grant Crunkleton has six schools that are at the top of his list.

“I camped at Kansas State and UCLA this summer,” the 6-foot, 170-pound Crunkleton said. “Those are two of the schools I am looking at. I’m also looking at Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State and Oregon.”

Crunkleton has scholarship offers from all of his six schools except for UCLA.

“I had a good time at the UCLA camp,” he said. “I knew a lot of the coaches when I was there from their time at Colorado. I felt at home there. They made me feel like I was some place I had been a lot.”

While the Bruins haven’t offered, Crunkleton thinks they are close to extending a scholarship offer.

“I felt like I did a good job a the camp. I think they are close to offering me. My teammate, Jesse White, is committed to UCLA. He’s pushing me and kind of recruiting me to join him. If they offer, I’ll have some real thinking to do. Not that I don’t have some good options right now, I do. I think there are several good places and I will have to make a choice sometime soon.”
