Siragusa lands new Pac-12 offer

Nico Siragusa has been slowly picking up offers early this fall and another big one came in recent days when Oregon State was added to his list.
It's another important offer for the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle from Chula Vista (Calif.) Mater Dei and he said an official visit to Corvallis will almost definitely happen before he makes his decision.

There is still time for other programs to get involved though since the big lineman doesn't plan to commit for a few months.
"It's pretty big," Siragusa said of the Oregon State offer. "Coach (Mike) Cavanaugh came by the school on Friday and watched my film and then they told me they have a scholarship for me.
"They've been recruiting me a little bit. They came by in the spring and they've been sending me stuff but I never really got to meet coach Cavanaugh. I heard he's a great o-line coach. I'm going to really try to get up to Oregon State. I really want to see what it's like up there."
So far, Siragusa has scheduled an official visit to San Diego State for early December and he could visit Washington State next weekend. A trip to UCLA is also being strongly considered and now heading to Oregon State seems like a strong possibility.
Visits are going to be crucial as Siragusa, who shined at the Los Angeles Under Armour Combine in the spring, narrows down his choices this fall and finally makes his commitment.
"I want to make my decision around Christmas break," Siragusa said. "I want to end it in December or early January. I don't really have any favorites right now. Those visits are going to be really important."
In total, Siragusa lists offers from Colorado, Fresno State, New Mexico State, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, UNLV and Washington State.
