Singleton solid with two top teams

Buford (Ga.) offensive guard Steven Singleton has not messed around when asked who his favorites were and it seems those have stayed the same.
LSU and Mississippi State have been the favorites and the 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive lineman is not changing that. He does have quite the offer list to choose from with those two teams being joined by Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, and Memphis.

"I don't know, they're even with me," Singleton said about the two SEC leaders. "If LSU hadn't switched coaches, I probably would have committed by now. I need to visit coach (Les) Miles and then I'll be able to feel my way out about them."
"I know who the coaches are at Mississippi State and I know what they have. I think after the visits, whoever is better will be stretched out to the main leader."
Some other schools still have him interested though, but also have work to do to get back to the top.
"Kentucky was the last one to offer and Middle Tennessee was a school that also came late," Singleton said. "I haven't put as much emphasis on those schools because of when they entered the picture."
"If anything else comes during the process, maybe it will change, but my leaders are clear."
His official visit plans are clear for three destinations.
"South Carolina, LSU, and Mississippi State will be for sure," he said about soon-to-be fall trips. "The other two spots are up for grabs. I want to have a decision made by November. That's when I should be committed. I'm setting up visits soon."
Singleton is rated as the No. 36 offensive guard in the nation by Rivals.com.
