Singleton enjoys Wisconsin trip

When D.J. Singleton recently made the long trip to Wisconsin it was the first time he had ventured out a long way from home on a recruiting trip.
Singleton's visit with the Badgers certainly seems to have opened his eyes.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound safety from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep was thoroughly impressed with everything the Big Ten school had to offer.
"I actually just came back from Wisconsin yesterday," Singleton recalled. "It went very nice. I enjoyed myself. Me and my dad checked out the school and the spring game. It was more than I expected.
"The campus was huge. I didn't know it was going to be that big. The people there are so down to earth. The coaches were respectful. They actually taught me some things, just giving me pointers and tips on different things."
Singleton has received offers from Buffalo, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
He does not have any trips planned for the rest of the spring, though he isn't ruling anything out.
"This was my first time really getting out of the state so it kind of opened my eyes," he admitted.
