Sims enjoys UGA visit, drops a team

The nation's top player just returned from his first
official visit and has informed one of the teams fighting to stay on his

list that he is no longer interested.
"The Georgia visit went real well," said Tallahassee
(Fla.) standout
Ernie Sims, a five-star
member of the
Rivals100 team and the No. 1 inside linebacker in the nation.
"It was great. I really enjoyed myself and the whole atmosphere up there.
"The thing that probably stood out the most was the
unity of the team and the relationships between the coaches and the players.
They're a real tight team. I like the way they treat each other. The
facilities were great, too. I liked all the football facilities and their
veterinary school. It was very impressive."
Sims' next visit will come Dec. 13 at Florida.
Auburn, Florida State and Miami round out his final five and will all get
visits in January, he said.
"They're all still equal right now," he said. "I
don't think I'll be naming any favorite until I get all my visits in."
In the meantime, Florida State plans to be in the Sims home this week. Auburn, Florida and Miami will be making in-home visits next week.
Tennessee had remained in the hunt through November,
but Sims recently notified the Volunteer staff that he was no longer
interested.
