Simmons visits Utah, schedules TCU next

Markell Simmons hit the road for the second time this month and, upon his return home, found out he would be traveling once more following Thanksgiving Day.
The three-star safety from Tucson (Ariz.) Pima C.C. officially visited Utah over the weekend after having been to Nebraska earlier in November. Yet before he could gather his thoughts and begin to outline his next step, Simmons landed an offer from TCU and said he would visit campus this coming weekend to wrap up his mini tour of suitors.

Simmons also officially visited Oregon State in late September and has been considering Washington State and West Virginia.

IN HIS WORDS: "The Utah visit was great. I loved it," Simmons told Rivals.com. "After this weekend in Utah, it definitely doesn't make my decision any easier. The Utes are pretty high with me right now.
"TCU is a big offer. I plan feeling everything out after this weekend, which will be my last visit."
WHAT'S NEXT?: Simmons said he would hope to make a decision before Dec. 16, which is the date midyear junior college transfers can begin to sign. The period runs through Jan. 15 of next year. As with many junior college prospects, there could be plenty of underlying factors for Simmons but he said he intends to go with his gut feeling after taking all his visits.
