Simmons still high on Tigers

Hutchinson (Kan.) Hutchinson C.C. safety Jasper Simmons so far this season has showed why he's one of the defensive backs in the junior college ranks. In two games he's got 11 tackles, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery for the 1-1 Blue Dragons.
But with Hutch off this weekend, Simmons is trying to turn his attention a little bit toward recruiting.
"I'm leaning towards Missouri right now but I'm not really ready to commit," Simmons said.
"I still plan on taking a visit to Missouri. I am trying to get a hold of their coach today. I really had planned on going down there this weekend because we have a bye week, but I don't have a ride, so I'm trying to figure that out. If I don't go to Missouri I might try and go to Oklahoma State this weekend. Whatever happens though, I will definitely be making a trip to Missouri, though."
With offers on the table from Missouri, Oklahoma State, UAB, Kansas state, Memphis, Ole Miss and others, Simmons said he's thinking about what schools for sure will get visits other than Missouri.
"I want to take a visit to Missouri, Oklahoma State, and maybe try and go to Memphis," he said. "I've also been talking to Kansas State a little bit. I might want to check them out on a visit."
