Simmons is solid with NC State

Just a couple weeks ago, Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy safety Jimmaul Simmons committed to North Carolina State. In light of the recent coaching change at the school, is the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder prep star reopening his recruitment?
"The whole situation there really doesn't bother me too much," he said. "I still plan on going there in January. It doesn't really change anything for me.

"I've already talked to coach Williams and he told me all about the situation there a few days ago. He said it won't affect me and I believe that. I think it might be a good thing for them and I have no plans to look elsewhere."
Obviously Simmons is sticking with his commitment to the Wolfpack. What does he like about the school?
"When I see them play I like the intensity they have on the field," he said. "I really think they can use me. I also feel really good about the school. I especially like the business management major they have there."
The two-star prospect wasn't sure about his statistics this season for Hargrave, but felt he had a good year.
"I did alright," he said. "I know I had a lot of tackles and learned a lot too to help me better myself. I think coming here prepared me for the next level and I'm a much more physical player now."
