Simmons is a pro with visits

It's becoming routine for St. Louis (Mo.) University all-purpose back Stephen Simmons as the 5-foot-8, 170-pound is getting very used to the process of taking unofficial visits.
Two weeks ago Simmons made a trip to Indiana, who has made an offer to Simmons along with Northwestern. Last weekend Simmons took in Northern Illinois and up next this weekend is Iowa. He'll check out Northwestern on Nov. 5 for another unofficial trip.

"I'm taking all of my unofficial visits now," Simmons said. "I'll take official visits in December. It will probably be the first week of that month when I start getting to those."
As for his Indiana trip, things went very well.
"It was completely different than when I was there last year," Simmons said. "There is a lot more excitement going on there and it seems like the coaches have the program going to where they want it. They're going to win more and you can tell they're getting better every year."
With a Northwestern offer in hand, Simmons is also considering them very heavily. As to who might be next, he is not sure. He's also not sure when he wants to pull the trigger on his commitment.
"That's way up in the air," he said. "I don't know when I'll make a decision. It will probably be after some trips."
