Sills lands first Big Ten offer

Byesville (Ohio) Meadowbrook offensive lineman Josh Sills' name has been rising on the recruiting scene the last couple months, but his recruitment took a big step forward on Saturday.
A 6-foot-6, 315-pound junior, Sills received his first Big Ten offer during a visit to Michigan's spring game.

"We were standing on the field during pre-game and Coach (Tim) Drevno came over to me," Sills said. "He asked me what I thought, and I told him I really liked it. He asked me if I would be interested in coming up for camp this summer and I told him I would. He said that he wanted me to come play football for him and he was offering me a scholarship, but he wanted me to come back up for camp that summer.
"It actually kind of surprised me. It was the first time I had ever been to Michigan. It was awesome and I was speechless, didn't know what to say."
Being his first time at Michigan, Sills was taking in the surroundings as well as the on-field action of the spring game.
"They run the ball and I liked that. They are very, very intense and I liked that too," Sills said. "The fans were very ecstatic during the whole spring game, especially the tailgating. That was awesome and something I had never seen before."
Sills primarily played right tackle for Meadowbrook this past fall. He could project there or to the offensive guard position in college.
"(Drevno) never mentioned anything about where they were recruiting me for," Sills said. "I will play anywhere that I am needed."
Now that he has seen Michigan's spring game, Sills plans to finish out the month of April by attending spring games at Toledo and Miami (Ohio). Both of those schools have offered, as have Ohio University and Ball State.
