Silbernagel looks for first offer

It has been both frustrating and motivating for Ian Silbernagel through the last few months as colleges continue to show interest in him but none have offered yet.
Silbernagel is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound dual-threat quarterback from Salem (Ore.) McKay who said he's hearing mostly from Tennessee, Oregon, Oregon State, Idaho, Portland State and Eastern Washington.

No offers have arrived yet so Silbernagel continues to send out film and hope that programs stay interested in him throughout the fall.
"I'm supposed to be hearing from more but those are the ones I'm hearing from now," Silbernagel said. "I've been sending out film to colleges and the coaches tell me to keep sending film, keep sending film and stuff like that so that's what I've been doing."
Silbernagel, one of the best quarterbacks at the Eugene NIKE Camp and the Schuman National Underclassmen Combine this past off-season, has thrown for about 697 yards with five touchdowns this season but is most useful running the ball. He has totaled 452 yards and eight scores on the ground, both team highs.
He's hoping continued success for the remainder of his senior season will garner him at least one offer. For now, Silbernagel will continue working hard, keep sending out film and hope for the best.
"It's kind of tough," he said. "I've been told this is going to happen so it's no big surprise to me but it is kind of tough because you'll get one where they'll say they'd like to offer but then they don't end up offering or this person shows up and you think something will happen.
"It's a little hard but at the same time I do have colleges looking at me so it's also motivating. I still have some schools interested in me but it's hard because you want to get that scholarship."
