Sibiea has a leader

Homestead (Fla.) defensive lineman Pedro Sibiea recently took his first official visit when he traveled to Cincinnati. The Bearcats, who are interested in Sibiea as a defensive tackle, stand out to the South Florida prospect after that visit.
"Right now I am definitely leaning towards Cincinnati," Sibiea said. "I am going to take the rest of my four visits. But I am definitely leaning towards Cincinnati."

The 6-foot-3, 251-pounder talked about what has Butch Jones' program on top.
"Basically, it was the whole environment," Sibiea said. "It is something new for me and it is different, but I liked everything about it. The city is real big. The campus is nice. I liked everything in general about Cincinnati. The people are really cool. The coaches are really connected with their players. The players have this whole family thing going on. I felt a real connection with them already just during my couple days over there."
Sibiea was very impressed by the look and feel of the downtown campus.
"The campus itself stood out," Sibiea said. "It isn't like your traditional campuses that you usually see. It had a good theme. I was told it is like one of the top five most beautiful campuses in the world and I believe that. The architecture is beautiful and the campus is beautiful."
During the visit, Sibiea spent a great deal of time with his primary recruiter and prospective position coach, defensive line coach Steve Stripling.
"We spent almost the whole first day together," Sibiea said. "After taking my tour of campus, I spent a whole lot of my time with Coach Strip. He was telling me that they want to get me up there and that they need me up there. He treated me real good."
With one visit under his belt, the three-star defensive lineman is hoping to schedule his next one soon. He currently has two destinations in mind.
"I know I want to visit Minnesota and possibly North Carolina while I am still deciding on the last two," Sibiea said. "I am working with Minnesota right now to get one set up for one of their remaining home games."
Sibiea claims offers from Alabama-Birmingham, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida International, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, and South Florida.
