The pick: Clemson

Why: The Tigers have led pretty much from day one of Henry’s recruitment and, while schools like Virginia Tech, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama have done their best to try to change that, it seems unlikely Henry chooses any other school. Virginia Tech seems to have the best chance of the rest of the schools to get the early enrollee, but look for the Tigers to reel in this five-star.

The pick: South Carolina

Why: The Gamecocks are the clear leader for Sandidge, but Georgia has been putting up a major fight for him. He has too many family connections to South Carolina to list here and the way the team has progressed has really impressed Sandidge. Georgia defensive line coach Trey Scott offered Sandidge when he was the coach at North Carolina, but the change of scenery hasn’t slowed his recruiting efforts. North Carolina and Michigan also have a decent shot at landing Sandidge’s commitment, and all four schools will get official visits before his commitment on signing day in February.

The pick: Stanford

Why: Hollifield’s recruitment has gone through a major change since the summer, when he seemed like a Virginia Tech lean. Academics have taken a much more prominent role in his recruitment and that gives the Cardinal the lead over the Hokies and North Carolina. The Tar Heels are all over Hoillifield and his family and it is definitely making the decision tougher for him, but everything that Stanford offers on and off the field will be too much for any school to overcome.
