Defensive tackle Paul McKieverClick Here to view this Link. has official visits set up to Georgia Southern and South Carolina for January and said the Gamecocks offered recently, catching his eye. "Even though it was a down year for them, I feel like I can come in and help a lot," he said. "I love it up there." McKeiver had been facing eligibility questions, keeping most programs at arm's length, but he said he recently passed the SAT and the floodgates have opened in terms of interest. "It took everything off of me to know that I had the score. That's what a lot of schools been waiting on." McKeiver said other programs, including ClemsonClick Here to view this Link., are very much in the mix for his last official visit. He plans to decide on National Signing Day.
Two-star Spartanburg (S.C.) High School defensive back Cedarius RookardClick Here to view this Link. had a long list of FCS offers, but he finally added his first FBS offer on Wednesday, when Troy was added to his list. While it might seem like breaking news, Rookard said several others schools are on the verge of offering, including MarylandClick Here to view this Link., North CarolinaClick Here to view this Link. and South Carolina. Rookard is waiting on the results of his ACT test and if all goes according to plan, he will be eligible to take official visits in January.
