Shreveport DB catching attention

Shreveport (La.) Woodlawn safety Donovan Wilson earned district MVP honors and honorable mention all-state while helping lead the Knights to the playoffs.
Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana Tech have shown the most attention in the 6-foot, 170-pound defender, and he hopes to attend an SEC junior day in the near future.

"I might go to LSU's in March," Wilson said.
His first offer has yet to arrive, but the attention is coming. In addition to LSU, he is also hearing from a couple of other SEC programs.
"Tennessee and Auburn, earlier in the season they were trying to get me to go to a game," Wilson said.
Growing up Wilson was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and models his game after former Eagle defensive back Brian Dawkins in particular his sure tackling. Then there is Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens who Wilson watches for his ball hawking abilities.
As for Wilson, there are two things he prides himself on more than any other when he is on the field
"I'm a hard worker and I'm a good listener," Wilson said.
In January at the Army Combine in San Antonio, Texas, Wilson put those characteristics on display and left a favorable impression on those in attendance. He was named to the Rivals.com Second-Team All-Combine team for his efforts.
