Shocking loss ends juco OTs season

Torrance (Calif.) El Camino C.C. three-star offensive tackle Cedric Mack is one of the top 50 junior college players in the nation. The 6-foot-4, 335-pounder was hoping to have his team run deep into the playoffs, but a shocking 42-41 defeat against Moorpark on Saturday in the American Bowl changed that.
"We're all still shocked," Mack said.

"It had been going great. We had just won the conference championship. We all felt real good about our chances in the playoffs. We hadn't even reached our peak yet."
But now that'll never happen and Mack, who is ranked as the No. 49 player in the nation, will now shift his focus to recruiting.
Mack says he hears the most from Arizona State, USF, Oregon State and Iowa State. He already took an official visit to Iowa State back on Oct. 19. He said he's working on more dates with other schools.
"I hear the most from Arizona State, USF, Oregon State and Iowa State," he said. "I'm going to USF in January on an official. They gave me three dates, but I haven't decided which one yet."
"I also want to try and go visit Arizona State."
Arizona State has offered him a scholarship along with Iowa State, USF, Washington State, Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Ole Miss and several others.
