FONTANA, Calif. - Kaiser four-star linebacker Josh Shirley added his name Monday to the growing list of talented star recruits that are playing in the U.S. Army All-American Game.
With his family by his side and his peers cheering, Shirley talked about the long journey that it took to get him to where he's at today.
He thanked everybody in his family, his coaches at the school, his teammates and everybody that helped play a role in molding him when he was growing up.

Shirley will be one of the showcase stars in the in the 10th anniversary of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The game kicks off at noon CST and will be broadcast nationally by NBC.
The 6-2, 225-pound linebacker remains one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the nation. He has already taken an official visit to Washington and is also looking at Arizona, Cal, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, UCLA and USC.
