Sherman contemplates his offers

Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow wide receiver Derrick Sherman has been a varsity starter since his freshman year. The 6-foot-0 and 170-pounder caught close to 40 passes and scored six times in route to being named all-conference his junior season.
As might be expected, Sherman is drawing interest from many college recruiters.

"I'm interested in any school that is interested in me," Sherman said. "Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, I get a lot of mail. Iowa State, Maryland, that's two more."
Sherman said a number of schools have done more than send mail.
"Kent State, Maryland, Cincinnati, Miami of Ohio, and Michigan State have all offered," Sherman said. "UC and Miami offered in writing."
Sherman has visited a number of schools.
"I visited Illinois, Northwestern, Kent State, Miami, UC, and Michigan State," he said. "And I'm going to UC's spring game."
