Shelton misses visit to Cal

Compton (Calif.) Dominaguez defensive lineman Michael Shelton had an official visit set this past weekend to Cal but did not make the trip and will now re-schedule it.

“I was going to drive up with a friend after my game Friday night,” Shelton said. “Our game ended late and my mom wanted me to just wait and do it first thing in the morning. Then my alarm clock didn’t go off and by the time I woke up Saturday, it was too late to drive up.

“I set the visit up pretty late in the week, that’s why I was driving instead of flying. I’m really bummed I missed it because I know it was their big weekend and they were tripping in a lot of their top players. I’m definitely going to re-schedule it though, I really like Cal a lot. Them and Arizona are my top two and I like Oregon State a lot too. Those will be my three visits I know I’ll take.”
