Clifton (Va.) Centreville offensive tackle Pat Sheil has named a top three. Sheil, who is one of the top prospects in Virginia, added an offer from an SEC school this week.
"Georgia offered a few days ago. I am pretty excited about it. Georgia was already in my top three. Now that they have offered, I can't really say that I like them more but I it certainly helped their cause," said the 6-foot-5, 265-pound tackle who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds.
Who else is in Sheil's top three?
"Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Georgia are my top three schools. I am also interested in Notre Dame and Boston College."
What stands out to Sheil about his top three schools?
"Virginia was the first school to offer me. I know them very well and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff. I have friends on the team and they are the closet to home. Virginia Tech is a solid program and they have a really good coaching staff as well. My parents seem to favor me staying close to home. Georgia has always been a school that I have liked. They play in the SEC and I love it down south. Georgia has a proud football history.
Sheil has offers from his top three and Boston College, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, and others. He has already visited his top three schools. What is up next for Sheil?
"I am going to try to visit Notre Dame and Boston College soon. I may camp at Virginia but outside of that, I am not sure."
Sheil has stated that he would like to make his decision before the start of his senior season. Is that still the case?
"I have no reason to believe that I can;t make a decision by then. I am going to sit down with my family and my coach soon and talk about all of my options. After that, I think everything will become more clear."
