One day after announcing that he had trimmed his list to a top 15, Rivals100 offensive tackle Greg Shaw of Miami (Fla.) Pace has narrowed his list to eight finalists, including two schools that previously had been cut.
"Louisville, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, South Florida and Central Florida (are my eight)," Shaw said. "I have to go with the people that (communicate) with me. They all communicate with me on a daily basis."
Shaw has made unofficial visits to the two Georgia programs and the Badgers.
"I saw those campuses and I loved them," he said.
Shaw's brother, Willie Williams, attends Louisville.
The Golden Knights and Bulls did not make the cut to 15 for Shaw, but he had a change of heart after thinking it over and talking with his high school coach.
"USF and UCF communicate with me daily (through text messages)," he said.
Shaw said he isn't planning to make another cut until the season.
"I want to wait and see how the seasons go for each of these teams and then I am going to look closely at the rosters," he said.
Shaw is the nation's No. 12 offensive tackle prospect according to Rivals.com and is the No. 11 overall prospect in the state of Florida in the class of 2008.
