Shaw to see Georgia schools

Miami (Fla.) Pace offensive lineman Greg Shaw is heading north later this month to visit two programs in a neighboring state. The Junior All-American told Rivals.com of his plans during an exclusive interview.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder currently plans to be in the state of Georgia April 19-23, where he will take unofficial visits to both Georgia Tech and UGA. There is a chance he will also attend the Athens NIKE Camp on April 21.

"I hope to see nice facilities and I hope to see good coaching and basically (at the camp) and a lot of good position drills," Shaw said.
The trip to Atlanta to check out the Yellow Jackets means that Shaw will get the chance to get a close look at one of his long-time favorites.
"With Georgia Tech, I've always liked them since seventh grade," he said. "I've always liked them."
He also likes what he has seen from Georgia.
"With Georgia, they always have a good defensive team," Shaw said.
In addition to the two Peach State programs, Shaw has been getting plenty of attention from other schools of late.
"Basically, all the schools have been coming in," he said. "Lately, LSU and Florida State have been coming hard."
Shaw also recently confirmed that he held a scholarship offer from Miami.
"I think they are going to be good this year," he said. "I saw most of the spring game and the defense was great."
In addition to the Bulldogs, Jackets, Seminoles, Hurricanes and Bayou Bengals, Shaw holds offers from Louisville, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Florida, among others.
He is working hard to prepare for spring practice at Pace.
"While I am in school, we have morning lifting and afternoon running," he said.
Shaw is a Rivals100 to watch member for the Class of 2008 and a Rivals.com Junior All-American.
