Shaw ready for UGA visit

Kenny Shaw is one of the top receivers in the Sunshine State. Shaw, 6-0 and 160 pounds, is from Orlando Dr. Phillips. So far on the season he has 15 receptions for 270 yards and three scores. More importantly his team is 4-0.
"We beat Cypress Creek 35-0 on Friday," Shaw said. "I didn't play because I have a groin injury. We have a bye this week then play Boone. I will be ready for that one.

"I am pretty satisfied with the way things have been. We are winning and that's all that matters. We are No. 2 in the state in 6A.
Shaw is getting ready to make his first official visit. This weekend he will travel north to Athens to visit the University of Georgia.
"It will be my first official visit. I haven't been up there yet but I heard it's a great college town. I want to see how I get along with everyone, the coaches and stuff.
"Right now my top five schools are FSU, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. All five schools need receivers. Playing time is critical for me and my decision."
So far this season Shaw has been to Gainesville for the Tennessee/Florida game and Tallahassee for the USF/Florida State game.
"That was interesting. I really like it up there (in Tallahassee). It was the fourth time I've been to a FSU game. I was actually very surprised (USF) beat FSU without (Matt) Grothe. I thought it would be a blow out. Actually, USF was my first offer but I am not really considering them."
So is Florida State still the team to beat for Shaw?
"I would say that I am open with the five but I would still consider them as my top team."
